Martha’s Vineyard is mostly made up of residents with houses; however there are plenty of places to stay for the short-term guest (or summer visitor). There are several hotels and/or bed & breakfast places to choose from. If you will be staying longer you will want to look into renting a house or cottage, and there are quite a few rental companies who can help you.
Hotels: Ashley Inn—This charming Victorian Bed & Breakfast features 10 guest rooms, each having private baths and a/c in season. In addition they have a couple of 2-bedroom carriage houses should you desire more room or privacy. Every room is decorated in period furniture, and the grounds are beautiful.
Ashley Inn High Haven House—This Bed & Breakfast features 6 guest bedrooms and 3 apartment suites with kitchen facilities and separate entrances. It is centrally located in Vineyard Haven for your convenience.
High Haven House Winnetu Oceanside Resort—If you want to stay on the ocean, this hotel is the place to be. It has loads of complimentary kids programs, tennis, putting green and more. There are also add-on activities if you still think you are bored. Each “room” is actually a 1-4 bedroom suite featuring a kitchenette and a/c. This is a wonderful perk if you are traveling with kids.
