Museums
The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art
Has long been one of Jacksonville’s most important cultural institutions.
The Museum can trace its roots to 1924 with the formation of the Fine Arts
Society.
With a vision to develop and host creative and relevant exhibitions, as
well as provide state-of-the-art educational programs, JMOMA has
definitely set high standards for the surrounding community as well.
The Museum of Science & History
houses a wealth of artifacts concerning the birth, development, and
continuing growth of Northeast Florida. It also includes a planetarium and
science theater.
Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens
Well-known for it's collection of significant European and American
paintings and it's world-renowned collection of early Meissen porcelain,
the Cummer Museum is even further distinguished by three acres of formal
gardens which surround it.
