This shopping mecca and after-dark hot-spot is 120 waterfront acres of
restaurants, entertainment sites, nightclubs, and shops. Divided into
three separate, but connected, 'neighborhoods', DownTown Disney is a great
place to spend away from the parks for a day off or to come in the evening
to dance the night away. Marketplace - As the name suggests, this is a great place to do your Disney Shopping. Here you can buy Disney art, home furniture, appliances, and accessories, pins, and, of course, your coveted Disneywear. There is also shopping for the youngsters as well. For the young builder there is the Lego Imagination Center. For the child in all of us there is Once Upon a Toy, a huge toy store filled with colorful displays. And, for your Thoughtful Spot in your home, make sure you visit Pooh Corner. Pleasure Island - Made up of several differently themed dance clubs and a comedy house, Pleasure Island is a great place to grab a drink and celebrate New Year's Eve any day of the year. West Side - Filled with more shops, restaurants, and entertainment, DownTown Disney's West Side is a cool place to hang out on days that you want to get away from the parks or just unwind. You can catch a movie at AMC Theatres, play some high-tech games at DisneyQuest, be thrilled at Cirque du Soleil, or eat a one of their great restaurants such as Bongo's Cuban Cafe, the House of Blues, or Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. |
