Located east of LA, this theme park is Walt Disney’s dream come true and the original Disney theme park which opened in 1955. Disneyland contains over 50 major attractions, numerous shops and restaurants all distributed throughout 8 different “lands” which each are decorated by theme: Main Street (turn-of-the-century small town USA), Adventureland (Asia, Middle East, and Pacific Islands), Frontierland (1800s Wild West), Fantasyland (Fairy tales and childhood classics), Tomorrowland (A look into the future), New Orleans Square (Jazz era New Orleans), Critter Country (Pooh and Brer Rabbit rides), Mickey’s Toontown (Cartoons come to life). Disney’s California Adventure is the newest addition to the Disneyland complex. It celebrates the history and future of the Golden State in true Disney style. |
