Museums

The Charleston Museum, established in 1773, is considered the nation's oldest museum. Although it focuses on Charleston and the low-country, the museum also houses displays on archeology, cultural history, decorative arts, natural history and ornithology.

The Cidadel Museum features exhibitions tracing the college's history from 1842 to the present, while depicting the academic, social, athletic, and military aspects of cadet life.

The museum entrance is on the south side of the Daniel Library building on the 3rd floor.
