Cape Hatteras National Seashore--This 75 mile stretch of preserved seashore stretches from Bodie Island through Hatteras and Oracoke Islands. While here you can go shelling, birding, kayaking, fishing, boating or swimming. Beware, there are no lifeguard stations along the seashore. Also while here you should check out the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. It is the tallest lighthouse in the U.S. and is open for climbing (all 208ft of it)!
