Autry National Center
Founded by Gene Autry, this museum dedicates itself to exploring the
people and places that made up the “Old West”. The center is comprised
of three sections: Southwest Museum of the American Indian, Museum of
the American West, Institute for the Study of the American West.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Housing an incredible 150,000 plus pieces of art, this museum is
said to be the biggest west of Chicago. They offer lots of exhibits as
well as educational and other cultural programs.

Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
Founded in 1913, and housing 3 floors of permanent exhibits visitors
can experience everything from dinosaurs to Hollywood, gems and minerals
and pre-Columbian culture. There is even a “Discovery Center” dedicated
to kids.

Peterson Automotive Museum
Dedicated to the history of the automobile, this 3 floor building
houses exhibits featuring the evolution of the car to hands-on exhibits
for kids. The 2nd floor of the museum is home to 5 galleries of
inter-changing exhibits.
